Following our basketmaking cultural tour to the Azores in May 2017 (see images on the courses page), Basketry and Beyond is planning a group visit to Cyprus in May 2018.

This week-long cultural basketmaking trip will include a three-day course in the local style of basketmaking using Arundo Donax and woody material, plus visits to museums and places of interest with self-catering accommodation. Basketmaking in Castle Donington and the East Midlands

A weekend celebration of the willow growing and basketmaking history of Castle Donington and the East Midlands, including displays, talks, demonstrations, a drop-in workshop, film screenings and a guided willow walk around the village.
